– Review
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is the daughter of Charlie and Eswari Rao who are from a poor family.
The family is reeling in debt and Varalaxmi is in a constant state of frustration due to their financial condition.
The family is also in a lot of debt and is not able to repay it.
One day, a stranger played by Santhosh Prathap asks permission to stay in Charlie’s house as he was tired.
The family too allowed him. During this time one of the money lenders came to their house and gave a final warning to the family to settle their dues.
Seeing all this Santhosh offers to help the family and shows that his suitcase is full of cash and jewels.
Though the family refuses it initially, Varalaxmi plans to steal the money by killing Santhosh.
What happens next forms the crux of the story.
Directed by Dayal Padmanaban, the movie deals with human greed and morality.
The first half of the film establishes the character and seems to lag.
However, the momentum picks in the second half and the proceedings get interesting.
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is not new to negative shaded roles. But she stands out with her performance in this movie.
Santhosh Prathap is good in his character and has delivered it in a convincing manner.
Eswari Rao gets a strong role and has an interesting story arc.
Charlie shines in his given role. Sam CS has given an interesting BGM based on the theme of the movie.
