Gripping and intense

“Kannai Nambathey”

– Review
Udhayanidhi Stalin works in a private firm and shares a room with Prasanna.
One day Udhayanidhi meets Bhumika on the road who requests him to drop her at home as she finds it difficult to drive her car.
Udhayanidhi is convinced and drops her at home. He shares this incident with his roommate. To his shock, he finds Bhumika dead in the car.
Prasanna advises him to cover up the situation. What happens next forms the rest of the story.
Director Mu Maran sets up the movie nicely in the first half. The director manages to keep the audience glued to the screen because of the situation in which the protagonist is put into.
The intensity drops down during the pre-climatic portions. However, there are enough twists and turns to keep the audience interested.
Udhayanidhi has completely surrendered himself to the story and has delivered what was expected from him.
Prasanna is terrific in his role and is impressive. Bhumika, Srikanth and Sathish create the impact needed for the movie.
The movie is technically sound with Sam C S and Siddhu Kumar’s music and Jalandhar Vasan’s camerawork.
