Says Arya, “We have finished shooting 50 per cent of the film. I’m playing a boxer in it.” He adds that it took him seven months of training, with almost six hours of workout every day to get this shape.
The movie is set in the backdrop of north Chennai. Sources close to Arya said his wife and actress Sayyesha supported him a lot in achieving the beefed up look. “Both Arya and Sayyesha understand that ‘Salpeta’ is going to be important film in his career,” sources added.
Known for his cool roles and attitude, Arya was last seen on screen in ‘Magamuni’, in which he played dual roles. Directed by Santhakumar, the film saw him play a hitman as well as a pious teacher practicing Brahmacharya. Arya’s upcoming film is ‘Teddy’, in which he is sharing the screen space with Sayyesha.
