– Review

Sasikumar and Unni Mukundan are thick friends from childhood and Soori comes from an unknown place and becomes the latter’s right-hand man. Soori becomes very loyal to Unni Mukundan and will even give his life for him.

Problems arise when RV Udhayakumar, a minister, wants to usurp land worth several crores which belongs to a temple which is headed by Unni Mukundan’s grandmother Vadivukkarasi.

Udhayakumar deputes his henchman Mime Gopi to get rid of the temple documents which is in the possession of the temple trustees.

Soon, Vadivukarasi dies due to mysterious circumstances. Unni Mukundan makes Soori as the temple trustee.

However, things are not as they seem and soon Soori’s loyalty is tested. What happens next forms the core plot of the story.

Directed by R S Durai Senthilkumar, the movie is a complete package with action and emotion in the right mix.

The pacing of the movie is one of the biggest strengths. The performances by the lead actors elevates the movie to a different level altogether.

Soori’s purple patch continues as he delivers yet another strong performance in the movie.

He hits it out of the park in the emotion and action sequences. His transformation in the movie is convincing.

Sasikumar is not new to the role of a trustworthy friend and this character is a cakewalk for him.

Unni Mukundan shines in the role and has delivered an earnest performance. All the three lead actors get equal importance and screen space.

Rest of the cast including RV Udhayakumar, Mime Gopi and Vadivukarasi have all delivered what was expected from them.

Background score by Yuvan Shankar Raja is pulsating. Arthur Wilson’s camera has captured the rural drama in all its nativity.
