– Review
Naga Chaitanya is a small-town guy who is deeply in love with Krithi Shetty.
The girl’s parents do not approve of their love. One day Chaitanya arrests gangster Arvind Swami and a CBI officer Sampath accidentally.
Chaitanya learns through the CBI officer that Arvind Swami needs to be produced. But Arvind Swamy has the support of Chief Minister Priyamani and the entire government.
Determined, Chaitanya chooses to produce Arvind Swami in the court and starts fighting against all the odds.
Did Chaitanya succeed in his attempt? What challenges he undergo forms the crux of the story.
Venkat Prabhu is in his element in ‘Custody’. With a wafer-thin plot, the director has made the proceedings engaging with an interesting screenplay.
The action blocks are top notch and the execution of the plot is impressive.
Naga Chaitanya gets in the shoes of an underdog character pretty well. The sincerity in the actor’s performance was clearly visible on screen.
Chaitanya was also good in the action sequences, and he makes a mark in the police station fight. He tries to hold the film together.
Arvind Swami is the right fit for the gangster’s role, and a few scenes between him, Chaitanya, and Krithi Shetty are good.
Krithi Shetty is good in her character, and she does what was expected of her.
Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music has worked well for the film. The cinematography by SR Kathir is neat and realistic.
