Captain – Review by Naveen

– Review

Arya is an orphan, who serves in the Indian army as Captain. His team matters to him the most and he considers them as family.
The Government of India decides to reactivate Sector 42 in the North East which remained deserted without any civilian or military movement in the last 50 years.
A couple of teams get killed during the scouting operation. There exists uncertainty as the reason behind these deaths remains mysterious.
Arya and his team take up the task of finding the mystery behind these deaths. Was Arya and his team able to solve the mystery that forms the rest of the story.
Director Shakti Soundar Rajan has picked up a plot point that looks fine on paper. He is let down by the VFX which could have been better.
The director has however succeeded in localising the alien concept to the regional audience. Arya has once again delivered a compelling performance.
He does complete justice to the role and shines in the action sequences as well.
Aishwarya Lekshmi does not have much to do and appears only in a few scenes. BGM by Imman is terrific and pulse-pounding.

Rating: 3.5/5
