‘Ayngaran’ is about the struggles that a middle class youth has to face when he tries to innovate something.
Director Ravi Arasu has delivered a commercial movie with an important message about the lack of technology to rescue children who fall into borewells.
The film states that the system has failed to give due recognition to innovation made by youngsters.
This is an important movie in GV Prakash’s career. It is completely different from all his other films.
He has effectively emoted the pain of a youth who is searching for a job and is convincing as well.
Mahima Nambiar does not have much to do and comes as a regular commercial heroine.
Harish Paredi has delivered a top notch performance. Rest of the cast including Kaali Venkat, Aadukalam Naren and Aruldoss have kept the proceedings intact.
Saravanan Abhimanyu’s camerawork is one of the biggest strengths of the movie. His camera angles have worked out well. GV Prakash’s BGM and songs are good.
Raja Mohammed’s editing is brisk and keeps the proceedings engaging.
On the flip side, the director takes too much time to establish the characters in the first half, but the screenplay picks up pace in the second half.
Rating: 3.5/5
