A decent horror thriller

“Andha Naal”

– Review

The film follows Aryan Shyam, a filmmaker who, accompanied by his team, heads to a remote villa for a story discussion.

However, their getaway takes a terrifying turn when they discover a camera with unsettling footage of a family of eight who met a grisly end at the same location.

As the group experiences increasingly bizarre and threatening events, they realize they are being stalked by masked assailants.

These attackers are part of a sinister cult masquerading as a family, led by a patriarch and his three adopted sons, whose dark agenda is rooted in black magic and human sacrifice.

Directed by Vivy Kathiresan, the film follows familiar horror tropes, offering little in terms of fresh surprises.

While the element of black magic seems promising, it ultimately feels more like a superficial addition rather than a key plot driver.

Aryan Shyam makes a solid debut in a role that offers him the opportunity to explore complex, morally ambiguous character traits.

The supporting cast, including Lima Babu, Aadya Prasad, Rajkumar, and Kishore Rajkumar, deliver strong performances that effectively propel the story forward.

On the technical front, Satish Kathirvel’s cinematography and Robert Sargunam’s music create an atmospheric tone that complements the film’s dark themes.

Rating: 3.75/5
