– Review

A village in Pudukottai district is converted into a reserved panchayat constituency where only Dalits can contest.
The caste-conscious leader played by Balaji Sakthivel, who had been dominant until then, makes Sasikumar as the Panchayat  President unopposed. uncontested.
Sasi Kumar meets the village administration officer and does some things for the village.
Enraged by this, Balaji Sakthivel humiliates Sasikumar and strips him naked in front of the town, and forces him to resign.
Balaji tries to make another Dalit person as the Panchayat President unopposed.
What happens next forms the core plot of the movie.
Director Era Saravanan has tried to bring out an important issue. The ground work he has done for the plot is clearly visible on screen.
The social issues that are touched upon in the movie is something which we have seen or heard and it connects with the audience effortlessly.
Sasikumar has got into the skin of the character and has delivered a remarkable performance.
The director has handled Sasikumar in aeffective manner.
Sasikumar has lived in the character which makes the audience feel empathy for his role.
Director Balaji Sakthivel perfectly fits the role of a caste-arrogant panchayat leader, a big man who talks one thing inside and behaves differently outside.
Suruthi Periyaswamy, who plays Sasikumar’s wife, also gets a meaty role to play and has utilised the opportunity well.
Ghibran’s music gels well with the theme of the movie and brings out the emotions well.
R V Saran’s camerawork is impressive. Rest of the technical aspects are gokd as well.
