Popular Tamil actor Ponnambalam, who started his career as a stunt artiste, has expressed gratitude to Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi for helping him when he was ill.
In a YouTube interview, Ponnambalam said that Chiranjeevi played a crucial role in facilitating his medical treatment and stated that he would never forget his support.
Ponnambalam said that when he informed Chiranjeevi of his poor health through a mutual acquaintance, the ‘Mega Star’ contacted him within ten minutes and inquired if he could travel to Hyderabad.
However, since Ponnambalam was unable to make the trip, Chiranjeevi advised him to seek medical attention at Apollo Hospital in Chennai and assured him that he would cover all the expenses. Ponnambalam further said the entire cost of Rs 45 lakh was covered entirely by Chiranjeevi.
