As ace director V V Vinayak celebrated his 46th birthday on Friday, the hashtag #VVVinayak kept trending as fans and celebrities showed their love for the filmmaker.
Ram Charan, whose family shares a special bonding with Vinayak, posted, “Happy Birthday Vinayak garu!!! Keep spreading positivity like you always do.”
Currently, Vinayak is gearing up to direct the Telugu remake of Malayalm hit ‘Lucifer’, starring Ram Charan’s father and Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead role.
Vinayak is reputed for redefining mass commercial and comedy movies in Telugu. Vinayak made his film debut with the 2002 melodrama film ‘Aadi’ starring NTR Jr. Upon release the film received positive reviews, and became a box office hit.
Vinayak received the state Nandi Award for Best First Film of a Director for his work in the film. The movie was subsequently remade in Tamil as ‘Jai’.
In 2003, Vinayak directed two major box office hits ‘Dil’ and ‘Tagore’ starring Chiranjeevi. Tagore was screened at the 2006 IIFA Awards held in Dubai. In 2013, Vinayak directed a Short film to promote Organ Donation.
