Priya Anand, who celebrated her birthday on Thursday, has said she is grateful for what life has given her. Many greeted her on special day and wished her a great year.
“Anyone who knows me knows that I am not the one to celebrate birthdays! But I can’t help but wake up feeling grateful for all that life has given and taught me over the years.
Especially since Covid-19, there are people, places and things for which I have a newfound or renewed appreciation for. Every passing year has brought me closer to expressing my whole and healed self! I’ve learnt that the hardest things you will ever have to do in your life is to forgive someone who never apologized.
You don’t need to do this for them; you do this for yourself. Hold on to your values that you so uniquely possess. Don’t be afraid to say the truth that you carry in your heart like a hidden treasure!” she said.
The actress shared an excerpt from the poem, ‘Myself and wrote: “An excerpt from the poem ‘Myself’ reminds me of one of the many wonderful things I’ve learnt from my Mother that has shaped who I am today.
I cannot hide myself from me; I can see what others can never see;
I know what others can never know,
I cannot fool myself, and so
Whatever happens, I want to be
self-respecting and conscience free.
