A day after a bom threat was issued to the house of Ajith’s Injambakkam residence in Chennai, one Bhuvanesh, who hailed from Marakkanam, Villupuram district has been arrested for the hoax call.
Police said that the man, who is mentallly unsound, had in the past made such calls in the past to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanaswamy and Puducherry Governor Kiran Bedi.
Only recently, similar threats were issued to the houses of superstar Rajinikanth and Vijay, it may be noted. On Saturday, as soon as the control room received the call from Bhuvanesh, police officials along with the bomb squad rushed to Ajith’s home and conducted a thorough search.
On the professional front, Ajith was shooting for director H Vinoth’s ‘Valimai’, before the lockdown was imposed to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus. The film produced by Boney Kapoor is said to be an action thriller. Musical score is by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
