Shanthnu ignores ‘Master’ director’s request

Shanthnu has revealed that he missed watching the trailer of Vijay-starrer ‘Master’, in which he has played a key role. In a video intereview, the ‘Sakkarakatti’ actor said that director Lokesh Kanagaraj had asked him to come to the studio during May when the government had allowed post production work to resume.

However, Shanthnu said little did he know it was to watch the trailer, and so gave it skip to concentrate on a short film he had been working on. He added that after he came to know that Arjun Das and a few other from the team have watched the trailer of the film, he was annoyed with himself for missing it.

Talking about the trailer, Arjun Das said recently, “I have watched the trailer 6 times. I think the trailer will release once the release date is confirmed but trust me that whenever the trailer releases, it will be worth the wait.”

The movie has Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Shanthnu Bhagyaraj and Arjun Das in key roles. Music is by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan and editing by Philomen Raj. Director Rathnakumar of ‘Meyadha Maan’ and ‘Aadai’ fame, who has penned dialogues for ‘Master’, said recently: “The interval block is my favorite moment in the film. I’m sure it will be a blast”.

Rathnakumar also reiterated Pon Parthiepan’s earlier comment about the punch dialogues. He added: “Master is not a film filled with explicit punch dialogues. Also, we shouldn’t write specific punchlines for Vijay sir. Sometimes, even his casual dialogue will be celebrated in theaters”
