Days after a hoax bomb threat was issued to the residence of superstar Rajinikanth, a similar threat was given to the house of Vijay on Sunday, keeping the police force on their toes.
According to sources, an anonymous caller made a phone call and stated that a bomb would explode at the Saligramam residence of Vijay in Chennai.
Following this, not ready to take any chance, police personnel along with bomb squad reached the spot and made a thorough search at the actor’s house. At the end of the search, it was found that the call was a hoax.
Sources said Vijay and his family members were in their ECR resdence when the call and search were made. It is also said police later traced the caller to a mentally affected person in Villupuram district. Further investigation is on.
On the work front, Vijay is currently awaiting the release of ‘Master’ directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, which has suffered a setback to the Covid-19 induced lockdown.
