Vishal Film Factory has lodged a police complaint alleging that Rs 45 lakh was misappropriated by a woman accountant of the production company, and asked the police to take criminal action.
According to the complaint given by Hari, manager of the company owned by Vishal, the woman staff member, who has been working in his production company, has swindled Rs 45 lakh from the firm over a period of six years.
It is alleged that the woman transferred the money to her personal account instead of paying the amount to the income tax department. Virugambakkam Police Inspector Sivakumar has taken up the investigation into the complaint.
Vishal Film Factory is a film production, distribution and music company established by Vishal in 2013. At present, the actor-producer is busy with projects including ‘Chakra’ and ‘Thupparivalan 2’. Buzz is that ‘Chakra’ would soon be directly released on an OTT platform.
