Though Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput died at a young age, he continues to live in the memories of many. After his death, people have been paying tributes to him in multiple ways by recollecting interesting things about him.
Archana Kalpathi of AGS Entertainment, who bankrolled Vijay-starrer ‘Bigil’, has revealed in a recent interview that Sushan’t look in Hindi film ‘Chichchore’ was the inspiration behind Vijay’s Rayappan role in ‘Bigil’.
She said that they never thought of having Vijay play dual roles in the film initially and had in fact though of approaching some senior actors to play the Rayappan in the film directed by Atlee.
She said then they decided to ask Vijay play both the roles after seeing pictures of Sushant Singh Rajput in the two different looks in ‘Chhichhore’. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Chhichhore’ was one of the young actor’s last films. Interestingly, the film was against suicides.
‘Bigil’, a sports film which hit the screens for Deepavali last year, has Vijay, Nayanthara, Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Indhuja, Amritha Aiyer, Varsha Bollamma, Reba Monica John among others in key roles. Music was by Oscar-Grammy winner A R Rahman.
