Rakul Preet has refuted reports appeared in an online portal that claimed she had refused to come to the shoot for ‘Ayalaan’, her movie with Sivakarthikeyan, citing Covid-19 cases.
The report claimed that the makers of the movie were planning to begin shooting for the film and while Rakul Preet initially agreed to join the shoot, she then cited Covid cases and refused to come to the shoot. It added that the makers were even considering replacing her from the film.
Refuting it, Rakul trolled the portal asking them who has started shooting and where, since she is dying to work. “When will we have responsible journalism. When will media start checking facts . stooping so low just for some extra hits 🤷♀️ plz tell me who is starting shoot and where @BOWorldwide cos I am dying to work 🤣.” she posted.
Coming to her support, the film’s director Ravikumar said, “@Rakulpreet is one of the most professional artists I have worked with. It’s extremely unfortunate that the media falls prey for rumors and being an accomplice.
We as a team are in full spirit and can’t wait to resume work with her and finish our shoot after normalcy returns.”
Thanking him, she said, “Thankyou so much for the kind words 🏻🏻yessss can’t wait to start shoot soon 🏻🏻.” ‘Ayalaan’ is a sci-fi movie and it has musical score by Oscar-Grammy winner A R Rahman.
