After the successful ‘Pa Pandi’, which marked his directorial debut, Dhanush was planning to helm a multillingual starring Tollywood top star Nagarjuna Akkineni in lead role. However, the project did not take off for reasons unspecified.
And now, there is a buzz that the National Award winning actor would revive his second directorial venture. It is said that the film would be bankrolled by Thenandal Studios, which is planning a comeback with this venture.
Besides Nagarajuna, the film, which will simultaneously be made in Tamil and Telugu, will have Sarathkumar, S J Suryah, Srikanth and Aditi Rao Hydari in key roles. Sean Roldan will score the music, while Om Prakash and Prasanna GK handling the cinematography and editing respectively.
Last year, Nagarjuna, while talking about the project, said, “It’s a period drama and this role is extra special to me because I’ve attempted something I’ve never done before. I play a character who goes 600 years back in time. It’s an interesting role.”
On acting front, Dhanush is busy with ‘Jagame Thanthiram’ directed by Karthik Subbaraj and other projects.
