It was recently reported that Pooja Kumar, who is lately sharing a close bond with Kamal Haasan, will act with the actor-filmmaker once again in ‘Thalaivan Irukkiran’, which is said to be a sequel to his 1990s hit ‘Thevar Magan’.
However, the ‘Viswaroopam’ and ‘Uthama Villain’ actress has said in a recent interview that she is not part of the project as of now. However, she dropped a hint that she might be roped in saying who knows, when asked about the reports of her playing a role in the film.
Raaj Kamal films International in association with Subaskaran of Lyca Productions will jointly bankroll the movie, which will have Vijay Sethupathi, Vadivelu and Revathy in key roles.
It is said that while Revathy and Vadively would reprise their respective roles from the original, Vijay Sethupathi would play the son of Nasser, the antagonist of the first part.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that the shoot of ‘Indian 2’, which came to halt due to the Covi-19 lockdown, would resume soon after the restrictions are lifted. Post production works of the film have commenced already, it is to be noted. Kamal is also busy with politics, as the founder-president of Makkal Needhi Maiam.
Also, with Mohanlal officially announcing the sequel of ‘Drishyam’ with director Jeethu Joseph, there is a buzz that the film would be remade in Tamil as well. Remember ‘Drishyam’ was remade as ‘Papanasam’ and it became a huge hit.
