Music maestro A R Rahman and director Gautham Vasudev Menon, who had earlier collaborated for films like ‘Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya’ and ‘Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada’, have now joined hands for the short film ‘Karthik Dial Seytha Yenn’.
The short film, said to be continuation of ‘Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya’, was shot during the lockdown period through work from home mode. It is said Rahman has agreedt to compose music for the film and Trisha has confirmed the development.
The teaser of the movie was released recently in which Trisha was seen saying, “Write. There’s so much beauty in your writing. But, don’t force it. You’re an artiste and it will naturally come to you.”
In her message intended to Karthik (character played by Simbu in ‘Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaya’), she added: “Theatres will be opened soon. People from Netflix and Amazon would approach you. They just want pure good content. Everything will be alright.”
Meanwhile, appreciating the good work of cinematographer Ravi Varman, Rahman has posted a video and wrote, “Bringing to you, the journey of an ace cameraman Ravi Varman who helped develop masterpieces one after the other. Here are some of his best works.”
