Malayalam actress Nikhila Vimal, who is popular in Kollywood thanks to films such as ‘Kidaari’ and the recent ‘Thambi’, in which she acted alongside Karthi and Jyothika, has been working as a volunteer at a Covid-19 call centre in Kannur district.
The actress regulaly attends calls being made by the public to the call centre, notes down their grievances and pass on the message to the government authorities concerned.
She also ensures that the needs of the callers are taken care of. It is learnt that the actress’ gesture has touched the lives of many, especially senior citizens, and people of her State have been praising her.
Many other actors and actresses are spreading awareness on coronavirus, besides reaching out to the needy with essentials and financial help, it is to be noted.
Nikhila began her acting career in television with a documentary on Saint Alphonsa aired on Shalom. Her feature film debut was in 2009 with the Malayalam movie ‘Bhagyadevatha’ (2009).
