On Hanuman Jayanthi recently, Tollywood megastar Chiranjeevi shared an old picture of his, and went down the memory lane.
“In 1962, I won a picture of Lord Hanuman in a lottery. When my dad saw that, he said my eyes and nose resemble Hanuman’s. So I always saved that picture with me. Decades later in 2002, artist Bapu gifted me a painting of Lord Hanuman which I later got replicated on a marble stone and got it placed in my prayer hall,” he said.
Commenting on the actor’s tweet, his younger brother ‘Power Star’ Pawan Kalyan mentioned that lord Hanuman came into their lives through his brother and the divine moment transformed his father who was an atheist and Communist until then to Lord Rama devotee.
He added that he used to recite Hanuman Chalisa 108 times during certain days in his teenage. “Hanumanji worship came into our home through my brother-Chiranjeevi garu; & that made my father to transform from an atheist& communist to Lord Rama Devotee. I used to recite Chalisa 108 times in certain days of my teen age.Jai Hanuman!🙏” posted Pawan Kalyan.
Chiranjeevi added in his post: “Bapu garu also told me that he felt like he was drawing me when painting the Lord Hanuman he gifted me. I felt blessed and still wonder about the resemblance. I wish everyone a Happy Hanuman Jayanti.”
In another post, Chiranjeevi greeted Pawan Kalyan’s son Akira Nandan on his birthday. Sharing a picture of him with little Akira, he said, “మన బిడ్డ మనకంటే ఎత్తుకు ఎదగాలని కోరుకుంటాం. నా చేతిలో ఒదిగిపోయిన ఈ బిడ్డ, ఎత్తులో అందరికంటే ఎదిగిపోయాడు.(6’4”) అన్ని విషయాల్లో కూడా అందరిని ఇలానే మించిపోవాలి.Wish you a “Power”ful future. Happy Birthday Akira.” Chiranjeevi also wished Allu Arjun and Akhil Akkineni on their birthday.
