27 Students of Velammal Vidyalaya (Annexure), Mel Ayanambakkam campus took part in All India State Invitational Yoga Championship 2020, in the common category, conducted for the age group between 7 and 12 years, three students bagged the 1st prize, eight students bagged the 2nd prize and six students bagged the 3rd prize. In the special category, conducted for the age group between 8 and 12 years, three students clinched the 1st prize, there by bagging the overall championship in this tournament. It was organized by Patanjali College of Yoga and Research Center held at Decathlon Sports Complex, Nolambur recently. 200 students from various schools across the state participated in this national level event.
