Sperstar Rajinikanth is finally expected to reveal the plans for his official political plunge today. Days after he reportedly told Rajini Makkal Mandram functionaries that he was not willing to become the Chief Minister, he has once again set alarm bells ringing in Tamil Nadu.
A week after holding a meeting of the Rajini Makkal Mandram (RMM) district secretaries, he will meet them today before meeting the media at a star hotel in Chennai.
Sources said that the actor, who is ruling the box-office for the past four decades, is likely to spell out his political programme that would include the formal launch of a party in the coming days.
Last week, Rajini told the media: “I met with district secretaries after almost a year to check about status of the party’s affairs. They had some questions, I responded to them. We discussed many issues. I am disappointed with one issue. I will reveal it at the right time.”
During the press conference today, it is said, Rajinikanth is expected to throw more light on his political plunge and announce further plans as he has already announced that he would face the 2021 Assembly elections.
