Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal
– Movie Review
Director Desingh Periyasamy has presented a romantic heist comedy that steals our hearts with edge-of-the-seat funny moments and energising lead actors.
Barring the first 15 minutes, which take time to settle, ‘Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal’ doesn’t sound like a film directed by a newcomer anywhere.
Siddharth (Dulquer Salmaan) and Kallis (Rakshan) are scamsters, friends and roommates. Siddharth falls for Meera (Ritu Varma) and proposes to her as well.
And, she accepts him. Meanwhile, Kallis falls in love with Meera’s friend Shreya (Niranjani Ahathiyan). The two men decide to mend their ways and settle with their girlfiends in Goa.
However, a determined police officer Prathap Chakravarthi (Gautham Vasudev Menon), who is personally affected by the acts of Siddharth and Kallis, is after them.
What follows is a cat and mouse game which takes us on a roller coaster ride before revealing who succeeded in the mission.
Dulquer Salman has once again come up with a pleasant performance and it is a delight to watch him in the company of Rakshan and Ritu Varma. Niranjani Ahathiyan has presented herself in a neat manner.
It’s Gautham Vasudev Menon brings who adds immense value to the movie with his presence and performance. Masala Coffee and Harshvardhan Rameshwar’s song and score are good.
K M Bhaskaran’s cinematography is another highlight of the movie. On the whole, ‘Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal’ is a fun-filled ride to make your weekend enjoyable.
