Superstar Rajinikanth, who shot for ‘Man vs Wild’ with Bear Grylls at Bandipur forest in Karnataka, returned to Chennai on Tuesday night. He rubbished rumours which claimed that he sustained injuries while shooting for the show.
Speaking to reporters at the Chennai airport, he said, “I shot for ‘Man vs Wild’ in Bandipur forest. The shooting has been completed. So I have returned. There have been reports that I sustained injury. They were not true. Some thorns just pierced me. I am alright.”
Stills and videos of Rajinikanth in Bandipur have gone viral on the internet. The show was shot at Bandipur National Park, established in 1974 as a tiger reserve under Project Tiger.
According to officials, permission for the shooting has been given for six hours in a day for January 28 and 30 with a special guest each day. On Tuesday it was with Rajinikanth and on 30 January noted Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is also expected.
Last year’s show with the Prime Minister showed Grylls and Modi go out on an ‘adventure’, trekking 530 square kilometers of dense forest land, populated with elephants, tigers and crocodiles.
