Sivakarthikeyan has said they have delivered a quality entertainer with ‘Hero’ and expressed hope that audience from all sections and age groups would like the movie directed by Mithran of ‘Irumbu Thirai’ fame.
Speaking at the trailer launch of the movie, he said, “It was my cinematographer George who initiate and assembled this project. Before this film, he was just a friend but now, I have become a fan of his effortless working style.”
The ‘Namma Veetu Pillai’ and ‘Seema Raja’ actor added: “Years ago, I worked with Mithran, Ruben and George in a short film. At the ‘Seema Raja’ shooting spot, got to know the basic plot of ‘Hero’ and immediately gave my nod. Personally, I’m a big fan of Superhero films. Now, I am thrilled and excited to be a part of one such film. I should also thank Shankar sir for showing us the path to think different and big.”
He further said: “Not a even single day at college had passed without listening to Yuvan Shankar sir’s music. When he texted me saying ‘Hero’ was one of his best works, I was moved. There is also a eighteen minute long score of him in the film. Eagerly waiting to watch the scene and listen to the score.”
On the film’s heroine Kalyani Priyadarshan, Sivakarthikeyan said: “Good to see a Tamil speaking heroine here. Only thing is she should believe that her Tamil is good. Working with actors like Sathyaraj sir, Rajkiran sir, Napolean sir, and now Arjun sir is a blessing. Abhay Deol used to write his dialogues twenty times to get the pronunciation right”.
