Actress Ashrita Shetty, who was part of films such as Siddharth-starrer ‘Udhayam NH4’ and Arulnidhi’s ‘Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavaanikalum’, entered wedlock with India batsman Manish Pandey in Mumbai.
Manish Pandey tied the knot with Ashrita hours after leading Karnataka to the title in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on Sunday. In a tweet a day before, he had said, “Looking forward to the India series, but before that there is another important series for me, I am getting married tomorrow.”
Manish Pandey’s Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad posted a wedding picture of the cricketer and greeted: “Wishing good luck, happiness and lots of love to @im_manishpandey and Ashrita 🥰 Congratulations!! #OrangeArmy #ManishPandey #SRHFamily.”
Ashrita was born on 6 July 1993 in a Tuluva family. She hails from Mumbai and had studied finance. In 2010, Shetty participated in a beauty contest organised by The Times of India, Clean & Clear Fresh Face. Competing in Mumbai, she won the event there and then went on to win it again at the national level, eventually becoming the face of the brand for a year.
She made her film debut in 2012, with a Tulu film, ‘Telikeda Bolli’. During the time, she appeared in various other television commercials. This was when film directors Vetrimaaran and Manimaran approached her to play the lead role in their venture, ‘Udhayam NH4’.
