Bobby Simha is said to be playing a police officer in Kamal Haasan-starrer ‘Indian 2’ directed by Shankar. “Bobby Simha will be part of the team which is hunting for Senathipathi (a freedom fighter played by Kamal), who has committed a series of murders,” sources say.
Vivek is also said to be playing a pivotal role in ‘Indian 2’, along with Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh, Nedumudi Venu, Vidyut Jamwal, and Delhi Ganesh. Music is by Anirudh Ravichander, while Rathnavelu of ‘Enthiran’ fame cranks the camera for the film. Editing is by Sreekar Prasad.
Kajal is said to have replaced Suganya in ‘Indian 2’, a sequel to 1995 blockbuster ‘Indian’. Like the first part, the second part too is directed by Shankar with Kamal Haasan playing the lead role. According to sources, while Kamal would repeat the role of Senapathi, a freedom fighter who is currently in his 90s, Kajal would play his wife. They add that she will undergo a prosthetic makeup test soon.
The flick is being produced by Lyca on a lavish budget. The cast and the crew of the movie are currently camping in Gwalior to shoot some important scenes, including a high-octane action sequence. Plans are on to release the film in 2020. Recently, Shankar unveiled a poster of ‘Indian 2’ to mark the birthday of Kamal Haasan.
