Vijay-64 shoot hits a hurdle

The shoot of Vijay’s upcoming film, which is being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, has hit a hurdle due to pollution in Delhi. From last week, the team was shooting some important scenes in the national capital and Vijay was part of the schedule.

However, the team was not able to shoot swiftly as planned due the air pollution in New Delhi. Following this, the shoot has been put on hold and will resume soon after the pollution levels come down.

Andrea Jeremiah was recently roped in to play a key role in the film, tentatively titled ‘Thalapathy 64’. Confirming the development, the ‘Maanagaram’ and ‘Kaithi’ maker said: “Yes, Andrea is part of our film. There was this character that I have written and we were looking for actresses to play this part. We finally zeroed in on Andrea.”

Malavika Mohanan plays the heroine of this film, while Shantanu Bhagyaraj, Sriman, Srinath and Sanjeev will be seen in important roles. The film has music by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Sathyan Sooryan, and editing by Philomin Raj. Expectations are running high on the movie since Lokesh’s Deepavali release, Karthi-starrer ‘Kaithi’, emerged a blockbuster.

Vijays’ Deepavali release ‘Bigil’ directed by Atlee too is running successfully in theatres across Tamil Nadu. The movie produced by AGS Entertainment has Nayanthara as heroine, while music was composed by Oscar-Grammy winner A R Rahman.
