Superstar Rajinikanth returned to Chennai during the wee hours of today, after completing his trip to the Himalayas. Speaking to the media at Chennai airport, he said he had a nice spiritual trip.
Even during those odd hours, fans thronged the airport to have a glimpse of Rajini and raised slogans ‘thalaivar vazhga’ as soon as seeing him. Media persons too gathered at the airport to interact with the superstar.
During the trip, Rajini was accompanied by his elder daughter Aishwarya R Dhanush. He reached Haridwar on Sunday and visited Swami Dayanand Saraswati Ashram in Rishikesh. He paid a visit at the ‘samadhi’ of his spiritual guru Swami Dayanand Saraswati who breathed his last at his Rishikesh ashram in 2015. He also performed meditation.
Recently, Rajinikanth completed the shoot of his next release ‘Darbar’, which is directed by A R Murugadoss and produced by Lyca. Nivetha Thomas, who is doing a key role in the movie, tweeted: “And now for the world to know! There is and will only be ONE #AadityaArunachalam And he, is MY Appa. Watch! Out!”
The film, which has musical score by Anirudh Ravichander, has Nayanthara as the heroine. The superstar has played a Mumbai-based police officer in this flick. Soon, Rajini will start shooting for a film to be directed by Siva and produced by Sun Pictures.
