There were reports in a few sections of the media that AGS Entertainment, the producers of Vijay’s ‘Bigil’ and Xavier Britto, the producer of the actor’s 64th film, are upset with their respective projects. However, sources close to the units have denied this.
Contrary to reports that Xavier Britto has walked out of ‘Thalapathy-64’ following creative differences with the unit, the team headed by director Lokesh Kanagaraj has in fact successfully completed the first schedule of the film in Chennai.
As far as ‘Bigil’ is concerned, the film’s creative producer Archana Kalpathi, while talking to an entertainment website, rubbished the criticism about the overshooting of budgets in director Atlee’s projects.
She said, “Honestly, a producer needs a good film. The production cost is between a producer and director. Hence a director can’t spend beyond the producer’s knowledge. I find the criticism unfair since he has given a phenomenal film, and the producer has to spend for the creator’s vision.”
While ‘Bigil’ is slated to hit the screens for Deepavali, ‘Thalapathy 64’ will be released during summer 2020. The movie Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan’s and Shanthanu Bhagyaraj in key roles.
