Superstar Rajinikanth returned to Chennai late on Thursday night, after completing the shoot of his upcoming film ‘Darbar’, directed by A R Murugadoss, in Mumbai. Even as he came out of the Chennai airport, fans cheered him even at those late hours.
Speaking to reporters, Rajinikanth said, “Darbar has taken shape very well”. He however refused to answer to questions on when would he be launching his political party and whether he met election strategist Prashant Kishor recently, as suggested by some media reports.
Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Hemang Badani, who is currently a commentator in Star Sports Tamil, had a chance to catch up with the Superstar for a couple of minutes recently.
Posting a picture of him with Rajini, he tweeted: “I was on my way back to the room and just when the lift door opened, I was taken back by a surprise. There he was inside the Lift like a Boss. I have seen people say how humble and grounded the man is. I saw it LIVE myself,”
He added: “The Aura of ‘Rajini’ was surely felt. Rush of adrelaine was surely evident. The two mins of time with #Thalaivar @rajinikanth is surely a moment that I will cherish for a Lifetime.”
Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, ‘Darbar’ is a police story set in the backdrop of Mumbai. Nayanthara, Nivetha Thomas, Yogi Babu and others are there in the cast, while musical score is by Anirudh Ravichander.
