Tribal Arts, the producers of Vijay Deverakonda flick, claim that they had registered the title ‘Hero’ with Producers Council in 2017 and have been renewing it every year. However, according to Kotapadi J Rajesh, the producer of Sivakarthikeyan venture, he had bought the title from music director SS Kumaran, who had also bizarrely managed to get it registered in the TFPC.
Meanwhile, Tribal Arts has sent a legal notice to Kotapadi J Rajesh of KJR Studios to stop using the title for Sivakarthikeyan’s film. Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Hero’ is helmed by debutant director Annamalai and it is said to be a multilingual.
‘Hero’ starring Sivakarthikeyan is being directed by P S Mithran of ‘Irumbu Thirai’ fame and it is said to be an action thriller. Shooting for both the movies are going on in a brisk manner. It is expected that an amicable solution would be found over the title with the intervention of industry captains.
