With curtains coming down on the shoot of his upcoming venture ‘Soorarai Potru’ , Suriya, who was apparently impressed with the ‘great work’ of the cast and crew of the movie, gifted them gold coins weighing eight grams each.
“Suriya gave gold coins to almost 150 members of ‘Soorari Potru’ team and all of them were very happy. The film directed by Sudha Kongara has taken shape very well,” sources said, adding that the first look poster will be unveiled on October 2.
Aparana Balamurali, Mohan Babu, Karunas, Jackie Shroff and Paresh Rawal play key roles in the flick, has been predominantly shot in Chandigarh. Produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment banner and Sikhya Entertainment, the movie has music by G V Prakash Kumar.
The first look has Suriya wearing a dhoti and watching a flight in awe. It is said to be based on the life of aviation industry entrepreneur, GR Gopinath. Recently, Suriya had said that the film is not a biopic, but will only present events that happened in Gopinath’s life, and the screenplay has been adapted suitably.
