Arun Vijay, who is recovering from the injury he sustained during the shoot of his upcoming film with director GNR Kumaravelan, has gone emotional over one year of ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’, his movie with ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam.
“Last yr this day Sep 27th was my dream come true! #CCV release! Working with my dream director #Mani sir for my 25th film, an #ARR musical-couldn’t hv asked for more.. #Thyagu an unforgettable character I hv played.. enjoyed each & every bit of it… Thanks 4 da luv #1YearOfCCV,” he posted on Twitter.
In the multi-starrer, he played Thyagu, one of the sons of a powerful man (Prakash Raj). Aravind Swami, Simbu, Vijay Sethupathi, Jyotika, Aishwarya Rajesh and Aditi Rao Hydari are the other members of the cast of ‘CCV’, which had musical score from Oscar-Grammy winner A R Rahman.
A couple of days ago, Arun Vijay sustained injury while performing a stunt sequence on the sets of Kumaravelan’s yet-to-be-titled project. “I have never felt pain when I’m hurt at work, for, this is the journey I love and chose to rise and stay in. Every scar tells a story. Shooting for #AV30. Back with my dearest @silvastunt #FightNights,” the actor posted on social media.
According to sources, Arun Vijay got injured while breaking a bottle during te stunt scene. Stunt master Silva immediatelly rushed to his rescue and performed first-aid. Arun Vijay is currently filming ‘Agni Siragugal’ with ‘Moodar Koodam’ fame Naveen, ‘Boxer’ with Vivek, while he recently completed shooting for ‘Mafia’ directed by Karthick Naren.
