Vijay, amid huge applause from his fans who had gathered from various parts of Tamil Nadu, slammed wrong-doing politicians at the audio launch event of his upcoming film ‘Bigil’ in Chennai on Thursday evening.
Stating that life is like a game, he said, “We try to score a goal, but a group rises up to block us from reaching it. Sometimes, the ones on our side end up scoring a same side goal. No matter what happens, and how tough life becomes, one shouldn’t imitate others.”
Urging his fans not to indulge in online wars with fans of other actors, he shared a short story from the life of former Chief Ministers MG Ramachandran and Karunanidhi insisting that all his fans should learn to respect everyone even if they are rivals.
“Online trolls should never cross the boundaries. When it ends up hurting a person, you should know that the limit has been crossed,” he said.
On the recent death of a techief Subhasri after a banner fell on her, “Regarding her unfortunate death, the lorry driver has been arrested and the banner maker has been arrested… but those who must be behind bars are still free.”
On political affairs in Tamil Nadu, he said, “You can’t have someone who knows to sell flowers, running a fireworks stall. People with the right skills must be employed in each industry. If people place the right person for the job in the right position, then all the issues will be solved.”
On singing ‘Verithanam’ song in ‘Bigil’, Vijay said, “I just sent a sample for the song, thinking that A R Rahman would ignore it. I didn’t expect to sing the song, but Atlee was very encouraging of the idea.” The film produced by AGS Entertainment has Nayanthara as the heroine.
