Script of Nayanthara’s 65th film and her character in it are said to be the reasons behind the film’s team opting for the title ‘Netrikann’.
“Nayanthara plays a visually challenged woman in this flick. But she has the ability to visualise things. So the team felt that this title would be apt,” sources say.
Following this, Vignesh Shivan, who is turning producer with this film, approached Kavithalaya and superstar Rajinikanth and received permission to use the title.
Says Vignesh, “We, as an entire team, owe a lot to Rajinikanth sir, late director K Balachandar sir and Pushpa of Kavithalaya Productions for giving us the title. Milind’s script is an interesting and intriguing thriller. Just like his previous film, this will also be entertaining for the audience.”
The film will be helmed by Milind Rau, who shot to fame for his directorial debut film ‘Aval’. It may be recalled that Nayanthara’s debut film in Tamil, ‘Ayya’, was bankrolled by Kavithalaya.
