After ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’, which is a remake of Hindi film ‘Pink’, it appears Ajith might act in the Tamil version of another Bollywood flick. If reports are to be believed, the ‘thala’ has shown interest in remaking the Bollywood movie, Article 15.
It is said that Boney Kapoor, producer of ‘Nerkonda Paarvai’ and Ajith’s next film, has acquired the remake rights of ‘Article 15’ and Ajith would play the lead role in it as part of his three-film deal with the producer.
‘Article 15’ is a 2019 crime drama film written by Gaurav Solanki and Anubhav Sinha and directed by Sinha. The film was produced by Sinha under the banners Zee Studios and Benaras Media Works.
It stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Isha Talwar, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra, Manoj Pahwa, Veen Harsh and Sumbul Touqeer, and follows a police investigation that commences after three teenage girls go missing from a small village.
The film deals with Article 15 of the Constitution of India, which prohibits discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth. The movie is being screened in Punjab villages to fight caste discrimination.
