The lead role in ‘Sixer’, played by Vaibhav, seems to be a person affected by night blindness. His character is inspired by the legendary ‘Cook Kandasamy’ played by veteran comedian Goundamani in Prabhu-Khushbu starrer ‘Chinna Thambi’.
As promos of ‘Sixer’ went viral, Goundamani has slapped a legal notice on the film’s team. Goundamani is particular that makers of ‘Sixer’ should delete the scene in which Vaibhav’s character speaks to Goundamani’s portrait on the wall, saying, “Grandfather you’ve done well! God knows what you did in the nights, I’ve been afflicted with this condition now.”
According to sources, the makers of ‘Sixer’ are now working out a compromise formula and are trying their best to stop Goundamani from taking legal action.
The legal notice from Goundamani says the veteran comedian recently spotted that director Chachi has used the former’s references in the film through the new sneak peek.
According to Goundamani’s lawyer Sasikumar, the team of ‘Sixer’ has not got any form of permission from him to use the actor’s dialogues or photos, and the above-mentioned dialogues are highly derogatory.
He issued a warning in the statement they would be forced to file a defamation complaint unless a public apology is issued and the dialogues and photos referring to the actor removed from the film.
