Ammu Abhirami, known for her performance as ‘Ammu’ in Vishnu Vishal starrer critically acclaimed crime thriller ‘Ratsasan’, is part of Dhanush-starrer ‘Asuran’ directed by Vetrimaaran. It is learnt she is playing a key role in the flick.
Confirming the development, the young actress tweeted: “Yes it is Asuran , Feeling proud and happy to be a part of this wonderful movie.” She has also uploaded a picture of her with Vetrimaaran.
Abhirami has also thanked Dhanush, producer Kalaipuli S Thanu, music composer G V Prakash Kumar and veteran Malayalam actress Manju Warrier, who is playing an important role in the movie.
In an interview, Vetrimaaran had said Dhanush will be seen playing two roles — that of a father and son. The film is reportedly set in two time periods — the 1960s and 1980s — and the actor will be playing a man in his mid-40s in one of the portions.
The film is based on the novel called Vekkai, written by Poomani. Director Balaji Shakthi is making his debut as an actor with the film. He is reportedly the villain of the movie.
