In a strong and sudden move, actor Saravanan has been evicted from ‘Bigg Boss 3’ reality show, days after he confessed to have groping girls in buses.
Saravanan was summoned to the confession room in ‘Bigg Boss’ house and the voice told him, “Since we had to pay attention to Meera-Cheran issue last week, it was not possible to consider the comment you made on television at that point in time.”
“Though you had apologized in the episode on 29 July, the Bigg Boss team has decided not to take this incident lightly,” it said and added that the team won’t accept misbehaving with women.
“Crores of families in Tamil Nadu and outside are watching this programme. The message we want to send across is that though the incidents happened in the past, we strictly condemn it. Hence it has been decided that you shall not continue in this show. Saravanan you are evicted from the Bigg Boss house.”
Saravanan, who was one of the participants of ‘Bigg Boss 3’, had earlier apologised to his remarks that during college days, he used to travel in government buses to molest/grope women for fun.
Even as his above comments in the presence of Kamal Haasan triggered furore, he was summoned to confession room and was directed to tender apology for his statement. Following this, he said, “I couldn’t complete the sentence on the other day. What I did as a youngster (molesting women in buses) was wrong,” he said.
The ‘Paruthi Veeran’ actor, who was recently seen in Atharvaa Murali-starrer ‘100’, added: “Had there been no interruption, I would’ve conveyed the same message. Beyond this show, I’ve been openly admitting all my mistakes and advising youngsters to not follow anything which I did in my life.”
