Raju Murugan apologises for his comments on Rajini, Vijay

After recent comments made by Raju Murugan triggered the anger of the fans of superstar Rajinikanth and Vijay, the ‘Cuckoo’ and ‘Joker’ maker has tendered an apology.

Speaking at the audio launch event of ‘Mundhirikaadu’, Raju Murugan spoke about the film’s protagonist Pugazh and said, “when there are people who have titles like Ilayathalapathy and Superstar, we must give him a title too. He deserves it”.

This earned him the wrath of innumerable fans of both the stars who started trolling him. Following this, Raju Murugan took to social media and said he was very sorry for the remarks he made and that it was a slip of tongue.

He added that he was not trying to intentionally hurt anybody’s sentiments, and he felt sorry for the words he spoke during the speech of the audio launch of ‘Munthirikaadu’.

He also stated that both Rajinikanth and Vijay have achieved huge success in the industry and he deeply respects both of them for the contribution they have made towards cinema.
