Jyothika, who started her second innings with ’36 Vayadhinile’ and has been regularly acting in films since then, is worried that women centric films don’t get the deserved opening.
She also said her dream is that her films should cross the Rs 100 crore collection mark. “I’m happy that a lot of directors are penning female-centric scripts but these films don’t get a great opening,” she said in an interview.
The ‘Naachiyar’ actress, who was recently seen playing a school teacher in ‘Ratsasi’, added: “Fans who are ready to watch films featuring mass heroes should also encourage heroine-centric films”.
On her ‘Jackpot’, which has hit the screens today, she said, “It’s a fun action film with elements which usually present in mass films. The film also talks about how we should give back the surplus amount of money to the society.” She has shared the screen space with veteran Revathy in ‘Jackpot’, produced by her husband Suriya.
