Chennai Palani Mars

– Review

Vijay Sethupathi is not the regular actor Kollywood has been witnessing for decades. He has a penchant and passion for doing different roles and producing different films.

Joining the list is ‘Chennai Palani Mars’, which is produced by him and carries dialogues penned by him. The basic idea is certainly different, and the film takes the audience on a roller-coaster ride.

Aakash (Praveen Raja) is ambitious about going to Mars with zero-cost strategy with the help of an alien object that can teleport a person.

To achieve the mission, he and his friend Aandava Perumal, both drug addicts, are on their way to Palani hills. As they steal a bike, they are chased by two police officers- Thiruppa and Velu.

What are all the obstacles faced by Aakash and his friend in reaching the Mars? Are they really able to do it or not? Chennai Palani Mars tries to find answers to these questions.

Praveen Raja, Rajesh Giriprasad, Ravikumar Vasanth, vinhadri, Aruvi Madhan, Sivaji Raja and pari elavazhaganhave done justice to their respective roles. There are some black comedy scenes which would impress the audience.

Vijay Sethupathi’s dialogues are another highlight of the movie. Biju Viswanath has succeeded in presenting a different film. Had he focussed more on presenting it as a more engaging one, ‘Chennai Palani Mars’ would have emerged a great show.
