A R Rahman has been roped in to score music for ‘Chiyaan’ Vikram’s upcoming film with director Ajay Gnanamuthu of Nayanthara-starrer ‘Imaikka Nodigal’ fame.
Confirming the development, Ajay tweeted: “Super Duper excited to have the musical genius @arrahman sir on board. Dreams do come true #ChiyaanVikram58 #ChiyaanVikram @Lalit_SevenScr @AndhareAjit @iamarunviswa @proyuvraaj @LokeshJey @sooriaruna.”
The yet untitled film marks the third time union of Vikram and Rahman after Mani Ratnam’s ‘Raavanan’ and Shankar-directed ‘I’. The project will go on the floors from August 2019 and the makers plan to release it in April 2020.
It must be noted that Rahman has reduced composing music for Tamil films and only picking the right projects. It is said he was thoroughly impressed by the script of Vikram-Ajay Gnanamuthy film which was why he accepted to score music for it.
According to Arun K Viswa, creative producer of the film, it will be shot in and around Chennai, Mumbai, parts of Kerala and in Europe, too.
