A lot is cooking about Vijay’s upcoming film tentatively titled ‘Thalapathy-64’ and the latest is that ‘Action King’ Arjun will play the movie’s villain.
It is to be noted that Arjun played a dreaded yet suave antagonist in Vishal’s ‘Irumbu Thirai’. He also did a negative role in Ajith’s 50th film ‘Mankatha’.
“Director Lokesh Kanagaraj felt that Arjun would do justice to the villain role in his film with with Vijay, and hence, he has roped in the veteran for the project,” sources say.
Vijay is currently busy with ‘Bigil’ directed by Atlee and will soon start shooting for his flick with Lokesh Kanagaraj. Recently, Vijay sang a song in Oscar-Grammy winner A R Rahman’s music for their upcoming venture ‘Bigil’.
The song, lyrics for which were composed by Vivek, was recorded recently at Rahman’s studio in Chennai in the presence of director Atlee.
“The output was too good. Vijay has breathed life into the pulsating tune and beats of Rahman. Everyone was happy with the song,” sources close to the unit said.
Interestingly, both ‘Bigil’ and ‘Thalapathy-64’ will be dubbed and released in Telugu as well, it is said.
