After Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram has now confirmed that he is part of Mani Ratnam’s upcoming flick, which is said to be inspired by Kalki’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’.
“Yes, I’m on board for Mani sir’s next and my portions will begin from early next year”, said Vikram at a media interaction recently. If sources are to be believed, Vikram will be doing the role of Aditya Karikaalan in the film.
Earlier, Aishwarya Rai said that even though Mani Ratnam hasn’t formally announced it himself but the word is out. She said she will always be more than thrilled, excited, overwhelmed, humbled and just happy to work with her guru, Mani.
In the past, Vikram and Aishwarya had acted in Mani’s direction in ‘Raavanan’. Aishwarya was also part of Mani’s earlier flicks ‘Iruvar’ and ‘Guru’.
The upcoming film of the ace director, it is said, will also feature Amitabh Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Keerthy Suresh and Sathyaraj in key roles.
