Vikram, who is waiting for a break in Kollywood after a string of failures, is hoping to achieve it with ‘Asura Guru’, which is said to be a train heist subject.
In the movie directed by Rajdheep and produced by JSB Sathish, Vikram Prabhu plays a courier delivery boy who loots huge money from a moving train. Mahima Nambiar plays an investigative officer in the film which also has Subbaraju, Nagineedu, Yogi Babu, Manobala, Jagan, and Elango Kumaravel in key roles.
Rajdheep who earlier served as an associate of director Mohan Raja, is making his maiden directorial venture through this film. ‘Asura Guru’ was apparently signed by Vikram Prabhu while he was busy shooting for ‘Thuppakki Munai’.
Meanwhile, Dhanush’s ‘Asuran’ with his favourite director Vetrimaaran is eyeing to hit the screens on October 2. According to sources, shooting is almost over and the last leg of final schedule is currently on.
Dhanush plays a dual role in ‘Asuran’, based on Poomani ‘s Tamil novel ‘Vekkai’. The film has Manju Warrier, Karunas’ son Ken, Balaji Sakthivel, and Pasupathi in pivotal roles. Music is by G V Prakash Kumar while cinematography is by Velraj.
